I am very excited to announce that I am now the Digital Creative Director of Amp London, an exciting intergrated agency based in Clerkenwell, London.

Great talent, mentality, people and clients, they ticked all the right boxes for me and fortunately the feeling was mutual. There’s huge potential to really push the limits of what’s achievable digitally and I intend to take full advantage of that. They also have a pool table which I intend to take full advantage of.

Expect big things.

A poster I’ve put together in light of David Cameron’s current campaign for the forthcoming election. Incase you have never seen the ‘original’, was created by Shepard Fairey for Obama’s campaign and can be seen here . The inspiration of which came from the classic OBEY posters.

Can’t begin to imagine the amount of work put into this unbelievable frame by frame animated graffiti piece by BLU.

Very impressive video footage shot so that it looks like tiny toy soldiers. The technique used is called tilt shift, more examples can be found here..

Born a couple of days ago, Ollie, weighing in at 7 pounds 4 ounzes has been a very time consuming little chap, even before he was born!

Anyway, aside from now being a dad I have also undertaken many projects and am currently contracting as the creative director for www.twentyfirst.com and loving every moment of it. I will be updating my portfolio when I get round to it and will also put some posts on the blog for the latest work. Projects updated include an animated flash website for Bupa International, 2 viral campaigns for the teaching channel, Teachers TV and a handful of other websites and campaigns.

So in short I have been very, very busy.

IncSpring.com is a newly launched website allowing designers to sell unwanted/unused logos and potential buyers to pick themselves up a ready made brand/domain. So far the quality control seems to be good, the designers outweight the buyers at this point, but it’s early days and if they make the right moves this has the potential to become a real success.

Obviously the majority of clients have their own briefs/concepts/names and ideas and won’t be happy buying an off the shelf solution to their identity. However with the option of adding accompanying domains for each brand and offering additional amends could be tempting for some less decisive new businesses.

The site is still in Beta mode, so they are still ironing out the bugs and developing and optimising the platform, however the site has a nice user experience, decent functionality and clean design.

I’ve decided to try my luck and i’ve uploaded a few unused logos to a profile here

Just came across these amazingly well executed Pepsi ads created by BBDO Germany. Following the pepsi red, white and blue branding the ads focus on adventurous themes portaying the “Dare for More” tagline. They were entitled; “Boarder, Climber and Surfer”. Inspiring stuff indeed.

Not new, but to those unfamiliar with Lasse Gjertsen’s work, this is my favorite video of his. Lasse Gjertsen is a phenominal talent, he was also the man behind the infamous youtube hit human beatbox. Lasse’s work is primarily video editing, however he has a history in audio production and in this, aptly named “Day Dream” he collaborates with Giovanni Sollima, an accomplished cellist from Italy in “Daydream”. Beautiful.
