It’s finally here, the first 3d holographic desktop display.

The Holocube packs a 40GB hard drive for storing up to 18 hours of compressed video, which can magically float at 1080i resolution within the cube at the flick of a switch.

A friend passed this to me last week and I have been addicted ever since. This is an absolutely brilliant idea and very well executed. Grooveshark offers an ethical way to listen to music online. As well as the wealth of good music on Grooveshark, the interface is intuitive and the overall user experience is very well thought out. Building the entire player environment is in flash is a huge achievement in itself.

In the studio where I work we often suffer from moments of undecisiveness as to what to listen to, partly because our music collection has taken a real caining over time. I am hoping that Grooveshark will put an end to all that. Once you have chosen an artist that you want to listen to, you can select playlists and listen to other peoples selections of similar music. You can even embed the player and playlists into your own page via html.

I’m going to be picking up an iphone in a few months when my contract runs out so i’ve been looking around for interesting apps to feed my hunger until then (sad i know). I also enjoy making electronic music and when I stumbled upon this I hit the jackpot. The potential of making field recordings of that nature straight from an iphone is going to be a lot of fun..

This is mind blowing technology utilised for interesting results, hooked into digital feeds, the waterfall is capable of displaying random words using jets of water. To those who think they have sussed it through shining light at various intervals, guess again.
